Getting here:
From Kundasang, head further east to the town of Ranau. After Ranau, continue east until you find a sign that points to the hot springs. From here, it takes about 20 minutes drive through rustic interior Sabah villages before arriving at the visitor center.

It comes as a no surprise that Mt Kinabalu and the Crocker Range are still growing in height every year, albeit by infinitesimally few centimeters. The mountain region is still active, hence a host of geological activities persist in this region, save it for some major ones like earthquake or volcano.

The hot springs has a nicely built visitor centre at the front entrance. Entry fee of RM5 will not be collected if you already bought one at either Kinabalu Park HQ or Mesilau Nature Park.

There is a nice waterfall within the park compound. It is a normal mountain stream and does not come from the hot springs itself, as some would have suspected. Water from the real hot springs are channeled into a fairly huge public pool where everyone can take a dip for no fee (except if you want to rent a towel).

There are also private bathtubs that can fit 1-2 people for those seeking a little bit of seclusion. The tubs are filled with water from two different tap waters - one is from the regular water pipe, another one is from the sizzling hot springs itself. The right mixture of cold and hot spring water then can be enjoyed at comfortable level while getting all the medicinal benefits synonymous with sulphur-rich springs like this one.
